Connect HubSpot
Turns every enquiry on your site into a HubSpot contact, with what they wrote logged as a note.
Updated 2026-11-02
01What it does
- Rules: create a contact
- Rules: log a note
02What you need
- Private app token — kept encrypted, never shown again. Settings → Integrations → Private Apps → your app's access token.
03Connect it
- In HubSpot open Settings → Integrations → Private Apps → Create a private app (on newer portals: Development → Legacy apps → Private).
- Under Scopes, tick crm.objects.contacts.read and crm.objects.contacts.write.
- Create the app and copy its access token (starts pat-).
- In your site → Manage → Integrations, choose HubSpot, paste the token and press Connect.
- Open the Rules tab in your site → Manage → Integrations, choose an event (e.g. "Form submitted") and pick an action from this tool. The fields are pre-filled from the form; glance, then save.
04Check it works
- The card shows Working.
- After a test enquiry the contact is in CRM → Contacts.
05If it does not work
- 403 MISSING_SCOPES — Edit the private app, add the contacts read/write scopes, and paste the rotated token.
- 409 Contact already exists — HubSpot dedupes on email — the person is already a contact.
