Connect Stripe
Lets your site's rules create Stripe customers and payment links from your own Stripe account. Money goes straight to you; CurateOne never touches it.
Updated 2026-11-02
01What it does
- Rules: create a customer from an enquiry
- Rules: create a payment link for a Stripe price
02What you need
- Secret key — kept encrypted, never shown again. Dashboard → Developers → API keys → Secret key (starts sk_).
03Connect it
- Sign in to Stripe and switch the dashboard to the mode you want (Test while you try it, Live when you go live).
- Open Developers → API keys and reveal the Secret key (starts sk_test_ or sk_live_). A restricted key with Customers and Payment Links write access also works.
- In your site → Manage → Integrations, choose Stripe, paste the key and press Connect — CurateOne reads your balance once to prove the key works.
- Open the Rules tab in your site → Manage → Integrations, choose an event (e.g. "Form submitted") and pick an action from this tool. The fields are pre-filled from the form; glance, then save.
04Check it works
- The Stripe card shows Working right after Connect.
- After a test enquiry, the customer appears in Stripe → Customers (in the same mode as the key).
05If it does not work
- Rejected: invalid API key — You pasted the publishable key (pk_…). Use the Secret key (sk_…) or a restricted key (rk_…).
- Works, but nothing appears in Stripe — Check the Test mode toggle in Stripe matches the key you pasted (sk_test_ vs sk_live_).
06Not supported yet
- The site's own shop checkout does not yet charge through a connected Stripe account — payments here are rule-driven (customers, payment links).
- Stripe webhooks (payment succeeded, refunds) are not received yet, so paid status does not flow back into CurateOne.
