Connect SendGrid
Sends email and adds marketing contacts through your SendGrid account.
Updated 2026-11-02
01What it does
- Rules: send an email
- Rules: add a marketing contact
02What you need
- API key — kept encrypted, never shown again. Settings → API Keys → Create API Key.
03Connect it
- In SendGrid, finish Sender Authentication (Settings → Sender Authentication) for your domain or a single sender.
- Open Settings → API Keys → Create API Key. Full Access is simplest; a Restricted key needs Mail Send and Marketing.
- In your site → Manage → Integrations, choose SendGrid, paste the key (starts SG.) and press Connect.
- Open the Rules tab in your site → Manage → Integrations, choose an event (e.g. "Form submitted") and pick an action from this tool. The fields are pre-filled from the form; glance, then save.
04Check it works
- The card shows Working.
- Submit your own site's form once, then open the tool's run log (the clock icon on its card): a green row with a 2xx status means the other side accepted it.
- New contacts can take a few minutes to appear in Marketing → Contacts.
05If it does not work
- 403 on send — The From address is not an authenticated sender in SendGrid.
