Connect Kit

Adds everyone who signs up on your site to Kit (formerly ConvertKit), optionally through a form so its sequence starts.

01What it does

  • Rules: add a subscriber

02What you need

  • API key — kept encrypted, never shown again. Settings → Developer → API keys (v4) → Add a new key.

03Connect it

  1. In Kit open Settings → Developer, and under API keys (v4) choose Add a new key. Copy it.
  2. In your site → Manage → Integrations, choose Kit, paste the key and press Connect.
  3. To start a sequence, open the form in Kit and copy the number from its address — that is the Form ID.
  4. Open the Rules tab in your site → Manage → Integrations, choose an event (e.g. "Form submitted") and pick an action from this tool. The fields are pre-filled from the form; glance, then save.

04Check it works

  • The card shows Working.
  • After a test signup the person is under Grow → Subscribers.

05If it does not work

  • 401 with a key from Settings → Advanced — That is a v3 key. Create a v4 key under Settings → Developer.
  • Subscriber shows as Inactive — The form uses double opt-in; they become Active once they confirm.
