Add Google Analytics to your site
Google Analytics 4 traffic measurement on your site. Loads only after a visitor accepts analytics cookies.
Updated 2026-11-02
01What it does
- Every page of the published site (head tag, consent-gated)
02What you need
- Measurement ID
03Connect it
- In Google Analytics, create a GA4 property for your site (Admin → Create → Property).
- Add a Web data stream with your site's address — Google shows a Measurement ID like G-XXXXXXXXXX.
- In Studio → ⋯ → Widgets → Google Analytics, switch it on.
- Paste it into "Measurement ID".
- Save, then Publish — widgets go live with your next publish, not before.
04Check it works
- Open the LIVE site in a private window and accept analytics cookies — the tag only loads after consent, never in the Studio preview.
- Your visit shows in GA4 → Reports → Realtime within a minute.
05If it does not work
- Realtime shows nothing — Cookies were not accepted, or an ad blocker is on. Retry in a clean private window and accept analytics.
- "Measurement ID" is rejected — Paste the G-… ID, not the numeric property ID or a UA-… ID.
