Connect Twilio

Sends an SMS — to the customer or to you — when something happens on your site.

01What it does

  • Rules: send an SMS

02What you need

  • Account SID
  • Auth token — kept encrypted, never shown again

03Connect it

  1. In the Twilio Console home, copy your Account SID and Auth token.
  2. Buy or pick a number under Phone Numbers → Active numbers (it must be SMS-capable).
  3. In your site → Manage → Integrations, choose Twilio, paste the SID and token, and press Connect.
  4. Open the Rules tab in your site → Manage → Integrations, choose an event (e.g. "Form submitted") and pick an action from this tool. The fields are pre-filled from the form; glance, then save. Use your Twilio number, in +E.164 form, as From.

04Check it works

  • The card shows Working.
  • A test rule run shows under Monitor → Messaging in Twilio.

05If it does not work

  • 21608 — unverified number — Trial accounts can only text numbers you have verified in Twilio. Verify it or upgrade.
  • 21211 — invalid To — Map a phone number with its country code, e.g. +919876543210.
