Add Razorpay to your site
Adds "Pay online now" (UPI, cards, netbanking) to your order forms. Payment goes to your own Razorpay account and an order is marked paid only after its signature verifies.
Updated 2026-11-02
01What it does
- Shopping Cart and Online Ordering forms
- Studio → Orders (paid status)
02What you need
- Key ID
- Key Secret — kept encrypted, never shown again. Stored encrypted; used only server-side to create orders and verify payments.
03Connect it
- In the Razorpay Dashboard, complete KYC so live payments are enabled.
- Open Account & Settings → API Keys and generate a key pair. The Key Secret is shown once — copy it now.
- In Studio → ⋯ → Widgets → Razorpay, switch it on.
- Paste the "Key ID" (rzp_live_… or rzp_test_…) and the "Key Secret" — the secret is stored encrypted and never leaves the server. "Currency" is INR.
- Save, then Publish — widgets go live with your next publish, not before.
04Check it works
- Place a small order on the live site choosing "Pay online now"; it appears in Razorpay → Payments and as Paid in Studio → Orders.
05If it does not work
- "Pay online now" doesn't appear — The widget isn't enabled or the Key ID is empty — and the form only offers it on Shopping Cart or Online Ordering sections.
- Paid in Razorpay but not in Orders — The visitor closed the window before returning. Check the payment in Razorpay and update the order by hand.
- Authentication failed — Key ID and Key Secret are from different modes (test vs live). Regenerate them as a pair.
06Not supported yet
- No Razorpay webhook is received, so a payment completed after the visitor leaves the page is not marked paid automatically.
- INR only.
