Add Hotjar to your site
Heatmaps, recordings and feedback polls. Loads only after a visitor accepts analytics cookies.

01What it does
- Every page of the published site (head tag, consent-gated)
02What you need
- Site ID
03Connect it
- In Hotjar, add your site and open Sites & Organizations to copy its numeric Site ID.
- In Studio → ⋯ → Widgets → Hotjar, switch it on.
- Paste it into "Site ID".
- Save, then Publish — widgets go live with your next publish, not before.
04Check it works
- Open the LIVE site in a private window and accept analytics cookies — the tag only loads after consent, never in the Studio preview.
- Hotjar's installation check (Verify installation) reports the tag as active.
05If it does not work
- Hotjar's checker says not installed — The checker visits without accepting cookies, so it can't see the gated tag. Accept cookies yourself and look for your session instead.
