Connect Slack
Posts a message to a Slack channel the moment someone gets in touch.
Updated 2026-11-02
01What it does
- Rules: post a message to a channel
02What you need
- Incoming webhook URL — kept encrypted, never shown again. Slack → your app → Incoming Webhooks → Add New Webhook to Workspace.
03Connect it
- Go to api.slack.com/apps → Create New App → From scratch, and pick your workspace.
- Open Incoming Webhooks, switch it on, then Add New Webhook to Workspace and choose the channel.
- Copy the webhook URL (starts https://hooks.slack.com/services/).
- In your site → Manage → Integrations, choose Slack, paste the URL and press Connect.
- Open the Rules tab in your site → Manage → Integrations, choose an event (e.g. "Form submitted") and pick an action from this tool. The fields are pre-filled from the form; glance, then save.
04Check it works
- Submit your own site's form once, then open the tool's run log (the clock icon on its card): a green row with a 2xx status means the other side accepted it.
- The message lands in the channel you picked.
05If it does not work
- 404 no_service — The webhook was revoked or the app removed. Create a new webhook and paste the new URL.
